What happens when you take 200+ extraordinary fashion pieces—think sparkling court suits, towering wigs, bejewelled handbags—and put them on display in one of Britain’s most iconic palaces?

That’s exactly what happened at Kensington Palace’s Crown to Couture exhibition—a dazzling collision of historical grandeur and contemporary flair. It wasn’t just a visual experience. It wasn’t just about couture. This one demanded something more. Something immersive. Something sonic.
That’s where WMP came in.
Working closely with Historic Royal Palaces, our creative partners WMP took to designing an original, bespoke sound experience, blending music and sound design, crafted specifically for the architecture, mood, and intention of each individual room. No two spaces sounded the same. Because no two stories were the same.
Visitors didn’t just walk through an exhibition.
They journeyed through eras. Through emotion. Through sound.
From the quiet majesty of Georgian court life to the glam and grit of today’s red carpet culture, every sonic detail was fine-tuned to elevate the narrative. It was museum meets movie score, history meets headphone moment.
