Friday afternoon is with us again so time to forget the serious stuff, think about the weekend and watch some YouTube. This week we have a combination of gelatin and sonics.
Jell-O has been around for about 170 years and during that time it has had its fair share of jingles, songs and audio logos, including this crowning moment in the careers of Bill Cosby and Lindsay Lohan. For the latest campaign they have created a good old fashioned sonic logo. Its pretty simple sonic branding but there is nothing wrong with that. If you watch some of the other recent ads from Jell-O you’ll hear how they have tried out different arrangements of the logo to add some variety and possibly to explore different brand values, yeah I’m not sure about that last bit.
I have no idea what the message of the ad is other than teenage kids are quite annoying, even when they are your own, and there are ways you can punish them using jelly. When your brand is called Jell-O and you sell jelly I guess you really just need to create some content with your product somewhere in it and then plonk your logo on the end. The music for the ad was provided by Massive Music.
Now shuffle some papers and look busy.
