MIDEM is coming. It has been a long time since I last went to music’s weekend away in Cannes, a very long time. To give you an idea of how long, the last time I went I was lugging a suitcase full of vinyl and CDs. Oh how things have changed. For a start my luggage is a lot lighter this time but more interestingly the conference is now very much focused on brand partnerships and whether streaming really is a viable future.
